Adult Protective Services (APS) is a program designed to protect vulnerable adults ages 60 and older from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. APS investigates such reports and provides services to help adults protect themselves.
APS works with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults. APS also provides services to adults who need assistance, such as arranging for in-home care, helping to find a safer living environment, or providing access to financial resources. In some cases, APS may take legal action to protect adults who are unable to advocate for themselves.
If you suspect that a vulnerable adult is being abused, neglected, or exploited, you should report it by calling (330) 392-3248
