Captain Michael Yannucci

Captain Michael Yannucci graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.

In 1994, Captain Yannucci began his law enforcement career at Howland Township Police Department as a part-time patrol officer. In 1996, Captain Michael Yannucci was hired as a Corrections Officer at the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Yannucci achieved a vast history of law enforcement experience which includes the Road Patrol Division, Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigative Division, and the Internal Affairs Division. In 1999, Captain Yannucci joined the SWAT Team and was promoted to the positions of SWAT Operator, and SWAT Team Leader with the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team.

In 2005, Captain Yannucci joined the Criminal Investigative Division and served on the Trumbull County Homicide Task Force for 16 years. Captain Yannucci was promoted to Detective and Detective Sergeant and recognized for his Investigative Excellence while examining high profile homicide cases. Captain Yannucci also received a Special Deputation Appointment by the United States Marshals Service.

In 2021, Captain Yannucci was promoted to the rank of Captain at the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office and was named the Commander of the TAG Drug Task Force.
